Who is Chris Holdsworth? If you followed the latest MMA news a few years ago, you may know.

Holdsworth was a constant success story. From a young age, he excelled at several different martial arts, but his primary love was BJJ, where he was awarded some of his top-level belts by the legendary Gracie family.

It seemed pretty obvious as he was going to go on to do great things, as he swept into amateur MMA promotion Tuff-N-Uff and left a bunch of battered and broken bodies in his wake, submitting or knocking out all of his opponents in the first round.

From there, he joined the Ultimate Fighter 18 and burned through the tournament with similar success. There was no stopping Holdsworth as he submitted everyone in his path on his way to a tournament victory. He was slated to fight Kyung-Ho Kang in his first post Ultimate Fighter bout, but the Korean had to bow out.

Unfortunately ever since faced and defeated Chico Camus via submission at UFC 173 in 2014, he has been unable to fight. While Holdsworth is still contractually a UFC fighter, he is suffering from post-concussion symptoms allegedly caused by a cheap shot from his training partner, TJ Dillashaw. Chris later confirmed these allegations, though he clarified that they were due to over-aggressiveness, not a cheap shot.

Since that time, Chris has been a coach for Team Alpha Male, an MMA team that trains fighters out of Sacramento, California.
